Role Overview

The Platform Engineer will be responsible for building and maintaining Ati Motors’ next-generation embedded platform infrastructure. This role focuses on Linux-based embedded systems, Nvidia Jetson platforms, containerized deployments, and system-level integration of peripherals and drivers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Linux-based embedded platform infrastructure.
  • Configure and customize Linux kernels, drivers, and system components for embedded platforms.
  • Work with Nvidia Jetson platforms (Nano, Xavier, Orin) including performance tuning, and hardware integration.
  • Develop and maintain containerized environments (Docker) optimized for embedded and edge systems, including multi-architecture builds.
  • Implement and maintain automated deployment pipelines, CI/CD workflows, and OTA update mechanisms.
  • Integrate and debug peripherals such as cameras, IMUs, CAN devices, and USB components.
  • Troubleshoot low-level system issues including boot processes, device enumeration, kernel logs, and driver-level debugging.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability of the platform.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in embedded Linux platform engineering.
  • Strong programming experience in C/C++/Rust.
  • Deep understanding of:
    • Linux internals (boot process, systemd, kernel configuration)
    • Kernel builds and driver development/debugging
    • ARM-based embedded compute platforms
  • Experience working with Nvidia Jetson platforms (JetPack flashing, CUDA setup, camera integration preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with Docker/containerization in embedded or edge environments (cross-compilation, multi-arch builds).
  • Experience setting up automated deployment systems or OTA mechanisms.
  • Proven experience integrating and debugging peripherals (camera, IMU, CAN, USB, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
